Common Solutions

Verify Game Cache or Re-install

  1. Restart your computer and launch Steam
  2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
  3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files… button.
  4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

Update your graphics drivers (Windows)

NVIDIA graphics cards

  1. Select the correct product series (eg. GeForce 600M Series)
  2. Select the correct product (eg. GeForce GT 630M)
  3. Select your operating system (eg. Windows 10 64-bit)
  4. Click “Search”
  5. Download the “GEFORCE GAME READY DRIVER” and install

AMD graphics cards

  1. Select the correct product (eg. Desktop Graphics)
  2. Select the product family your product belongs to (eg. Radeon R9 Series)
  3. Select the correct product (eg. Radeon R9 290)
  4. Select your operating system (eg. Windows 10 64-bit)
  6. Either download the “Radeon Software” setup or “AMD Minimal Setup” setup by clicking “DOWNLOAD” and install

Intel HD graphics card (onboard)

  1. In the “Select a product” column, select “Graphics Drivers”.
  2. From the list, select the latest driver that matches your OS. (eg. Intel Graphics Driver for Windows [15.60], Windows 10, 64-bit)
  3. Either download the exe or zip file and install.

Once you have updated your graphics drivers, please restart your computer.

Update your Windows installation

Please update your Windows installation by going to Start, then find “Windows Update” and then click “Check for updates”. See this article for more information;

Running recording/streaming software?

Are you using any recording/streaming software like, FRAPS or OBS? Please try shutting down your recording/streaming software and try starting Besiege.
